Jana + Jaco | Bloemfontein | Steynspruit

Back in April we flew up to Bloemfontein for Jana and Jaco's farm wedding at Steynspruit :)
a week before the wedding, I checked the weather forecast for that particular Saturday and almost fainted haha,
for a brief moment i freaked out and saw that there is a huge storm approaching the Freestate and just sat there and thought... goodness "just my luck"

So the day arrived for our flight to Bloem!! Arrived at the airport and were greeted by the two most AMAZING people in the world!!! Jana and Jaco!!
Soon to be Mr & Mrs, we started chatting and laughing like we've known eachother for years :) They rented me a silver polo vivo for the weekend
so that I could get where I needed to be and so the exciting wedding weekend expedition started!

Tertius and I felt like part of the family! We stayed at Jana's parents guesthouse and by entering our cottage we were spoiled with chocolates, redbull,
homemade rusks and coffee. After settling in, we took the drive out to Steynsruit farm, about 60kms on a gravel road outside Bloemfontein where we once again
were greeted with open arms by the family and friends who were all busy decorating and preparing for Jana and Jaco's big day tomorrow!

Wedding DAY!!! woke up to find that the weather forecast did not lie :( it was pouring rain, thunder, lightning and i was nervous!!
but i quickly manned up and took this moody weather for an adventure and thought... let's make MAGIC today!!!!

When I arrived at the beautiful house where Jana and her bridesmaids got ready, they were ALL SMILES and did not let the weather and rain bother them even just one bit!
they were laughing and singing... sooo happy for Jana on her wedding day and that made me realize, its not about the weather, its not about the location, its not about
any obstacles on the day but what its truly about is the celebration of two amazing people and their families coming together to have the best day of their lives :)

Yes, for the photographers and videographer it was a challenge, but we took up the challenge and used our skills and techniques work past natures obstacles and I must truly
say that i've been waiting long to photograph such a moody, romantic and rainy wedding for like forever!!!

I just love how the wedding pictures turned out! and that Jana and Jaco embraced every moment to the fullest.
